Why You Need to Mark Your Golf Ball?

Everyone knows the Rules 6-5 and Rule 12-2 states: “The responsibility for playing the correct ball rests with the player. Each player should put an identification mark on his ball.” It’s not a must or compulsory to place a mark on your golf ball, but it could stop you playing the wrong ball, just by adding a spot or even a smiley face on it.

Sometime markings you ball might even help your game. Be it with a ring around the circumference to help you line up putts or use it as a aid to aim down the fairway on tee shot.
