However, it's the appearance of amateur Karl Vilips adds an extra dose of intrigue to the Aussie contingent. Vilips, also known as ( koala Karl ) was able to bag himself a spot in this year’s U.S. OPEN by Winning a qualifier named ‘Golf’s Longest Day’; a 36-hole 1-day event in the USA where the Perth native shot an impressive -4 total for the day to win the event and to book his ticket to the 123rd U.S. OPEN. AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE.
